After attending Gateway College in St Louis, Missouri from1975 to 1977, Rev. Michael Parmley served as the Assistant Pastor in Rogers, Arkansas for 6 years. He was elected to Batesville First Church as Senior Pastor in 1985. During his tenure of 33 years, he has had the opportunity to serve Section 11 and the Arkansas District in many capacities-- 8 years on the District Youth Board, 4 years as the Northeast Arkansas Foreign Missions Director, 2 years as Section 11 Secretary, and 20 years on the Arkansas District Board and Presbyter of Section 11.

He and his wife Annette have been married for 42 years. They have one son, Adrian Parmley who resides in Conway, Arkansas.

His life verse is Michah 6:8.  "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
